Changes Galore (But All in A Good Way) – Plus New Cover for A REAPER MADE!

Hi folks! I have a few things of note to discuss today, the most obvious being: Welcome to the updated website! I hope you don’t find it too confusing, though I expected a few of you might’ve been surprised to visit and see an entirely different look 🙂 As I move forward with my new PR firm, Mark My Words Book Publicity, I decided that since my covers were getting revamped, it was time to spruce up the site, too. I hope you like it as much as I do!

Now for the big news. As I mentioned above, the Donovan Circus covers have been re-done for marketing purposes. I am SO in love with the new covers (all three are finished!), but I can’t show them off until my cover reveal blog tour on June 22 🙂 UtopYA attendees will be able to get their hands on the new pretties the weekend before that, but until then, I have to be patient – a nearly impossible feat!

That being said, here’s YOUR surprise today. On a whim, I was talking with the cover designer about A REAPER MADE. Long story short, I opened up my email this morning to find this brand new, unbelievably beautiful cover.

A Reaper Made

I literally gasped aloud when it popped up. I’d been thinking about a re-do simply because the first cover is, while wonderful, a little dark and scary. This book has a few twists that will hopefully have you on the edge of your seat, but it’s also a lot of fun. Plus there’s romance and on a college campus! So it was time it got a little makeover. Here’s the full wrap that I wanted to share because it’s so beautiful.

I love the way she incorporated a gravestone in the background, as well as the celestial sky, as that is also a callback to the angels that show up when you least expect it. All in all, I couldn’t be happier!

I’ll be posting more soon, including the new Donovan Circus covers. In the meantime, I’ll leave you with this lovely logo she also made for me. Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll talk to you soon!

Officially Official: Release Date for HUNTED, Book 3 of Donovan Circus Series

Well, folks, the gears are in motion for HUNTED. Edits are done, cover design has begun, and I’m emailing beta readers this weekend. This means that I’ve also picked a release date!

Hunted, A Donovan Circus Novel (Book 3) will be released on Friday, March 20, 2015.

I’m excited for a few reasons, a new release being the most obvious one, but I’m also stoked to celebrate an achievement. You see, this will be the 5th book I’ve published and by the hammer of Thor (thanks, Mjolnir), I’ve managed to release it before my 30th birthday. (This is actually all a ploy to get you to help me celebrate.)

Lucky for me, my 30th falls on a Friday, so it’s pretty obvious that the Good Lord wants me to spend it at the bar and forget about the age change. So it’s probably smart thinking on my part to release the book a week before so I don’t spend half the Facebook party rattling off all the reasons vodka is my favorite. 😉

Interested in more info on HUNTED? You can read the back cover synopsis here. I’ve also posted the first chapter here.

I’ll keep you posted but for now, have a great weekend!

SAVE THE NIGHT: Help Courtney Cole with her book, NOCTE

Guys, I need your help – or rather, my friend Courtney Cole does. She is one of my first true author friends – those of you who have read GIFTED know I wrote the dedication to her. If it wasn’t for her, I don’t think GIFTED would’ve ever become what it is, because she tirelessly answered my questions, coddled my anxiety, and helped me through the entire process. She’s an amazing person and writer who somehow magically makes time for everything and everyone.

If you’ve been interested in reading her latest book NOCTE, now’s the time to help her out. She’s had some author bullying going on, and while we won’t go into details because ain’t nobody got time for that drama, maybe we can help her out and fight back.

If you’re able to tweet about this, you can copy this message here with the Amazon link:

Please help Courtney Cole SAVE THE NIGHT!  Her book NOCTE was pulled from Amazon, but it’s back today! Let’s un-do the damage and SAVE THE NIGHT!  Buy NOCTE today, and enter the Rafflectopter to WIN! The Amazon link is:

Grace had finally gotten used to her new afterlife as a “Made” – a Reaper who used to be human. When Made Reapers and souls begin disappearing, however, Grace and her mentor Tully suspect demons. Grace’s worst fears are confirmed when her living family is threatened.

She’ll have to break every rule in the Reaper book to save them, including using a little magic to become temporarily human. With the help of Tully and her witchy friend Tessa, Grace goes undercover to save the fates of kidnapped souls – only to discover that demons aren’t working alone. Betrayal and distrust runs deep and Grace discovers that sometimes even Reapers are prone to humanity.

And just in case you’d like to see the full wrap for paperback, I’m more than happy to share that too because I LOVE the back! All cover art done by my brilliant BFF, Erica Dickson.
