Cover Reveal: IGNITED, Book 4 of Donovan Circus Series

I’m super excited to showcase the newest Donovan Circus cover today. Designed by Kelly Walker of Indie-Spired Design, and I gotta say, the girl’s a genius. I had two requests on the cover: 1) that Lucy be standing with both arms up (yes, sort of in a “come at me bro” position) and 2) that the colors be red and orange, both indicative of the book title as well as fitting into our color themes in the series. Here’s what she came up with!

Gorgeous, right?! We’ve used the same model on all the covers, but this one has such a different feel to it, I think due to the coloring (Kelly went in and did all those colors and smoke herself). If you read the back cover blurb, you know Lucy is venturing outside the Donovan Circus grounds, this time to a fancy plantation with gourmet chef, poster bed, extra perks, and of course, the mafia boss attempting to win her over. Will he succeed?

And in case you’d like to see the full paperback wrap, complete with cover blurb, here it is in all its glory and splendor:

I hope you love it as much as I do! IGNITED will release on Amazon for Kindle and paperback on October 29th. (To get started on the series, check out GIFTED for only 99 cents on Kindle here!)

Calyle is an South African award wining author, with a flair for mixing genres and adding loads of drama to every story she creates. For now she is happy to take over the world and convert non Sci-fi believers. Her favorite genre to write is YA SF and dystopian romance novels.
Her goal as an author is to touch people’s lives, and help others love their differences and one another by delivering strong messages of faith, love and hope within every outrageous world she writes about.

“I love to swim, fight for the trees, and am a food lover who is driven by my passion for life. I dream that one day my stories will change the lives of countless teenagers and have them obsess over the world literacy can offer them instead of worrying about fitting in. Never sacrifice who you are, its in the dark times that the light comes to life.”

Carlyle used writing as a healing tool and that is why she started her very own writers support event – SAIR bookfestival.

Title: M

Author: Jo Michaels

Genre: Young Adult Paranormal/Urban Fiction

Publication Date: June 17, 2015

Length: 55k words

In 2026, it finally arrives, the drug promising to make life easier for the masses. One dose of M and anyone can gain an ability. There are no promises made as to what the power could manifest as, but people are crawling over one another to take a chance.

There’s a problem: One pill costs a million dollars. Only those with extraordinary wealth are afforded the luxury of cleaning house with a click of their diamond-adorned fingers or solving a puzzle by talking to it.

A knockoff begins circulating in 2038 that does the same thing as M. Hundreds of thousands of people have mutated for a mere one hundred dollars.

Enter the year 2042.

Seventeen-year-old Griffin is a normal kid, who has a regular job, and dreams of going to college someday. When his girlfriend of three years succumbs to peer pressure, they break up. He believes the body is a temple not to be messed with outside of nature, and she wants to fit in. Once he meets the supplier, things take a turn for the worse.

He’s left with nothing but pain in his heart and the desire to make them suffer when his plans for payback blow up in his face.

Thirst for revenge consumes him, and he finds himself locked in a battle he never anticipated with a merciless kingpin as they struggle to gain the advantage.

Changes Galore (But All in A Good Way) – Plus New Cover for A REAPER MADE!

Hi folks! I have a few things of note to discuss today, the most obvious being: Welcome to the updated website! I hope you don’t find it too confusing, though I expected a few of you might’ve been surprised to visit and see an entirely different look 🙂 As I move forward with my new PR firm, Mark My Words Book Publicity, I decided that since my covers were getting revamped, it was time to spruce up the site, too. I hope you like it as much as I do!

Now for the big news. As I mentioned above, the Donovan Circus covers have been re-done for marketing purposes. I am SO in love with the new covers (all three are finished!), but I can’t show them off until my cover reveal blog tour on June 22 🙂 UtopYA attendees will be able to get their hands on the new pretties the weekend before that, but until then, I have to be patient – a nearly impossible feat!

That being said, here’s YOUR surprise today. On a whim, I was talking with the cover designer about A REAPER MADE. Long story short, I opened up my email this morning to find this brand new, unbelievably beautiful cover.

A Reaper Made

I literally gasped aloud when it popped up. I’d been thinking about a re-do simply because the first cover is, while wonderful, a little dark and scary. This book has a few twists that will hopefully have you on the edge of your seat, but it’s also a lot of fun. Plus there’s romance and on a college campus! So it was time it got a little makeover. Here’s the full wrap that I wanted to share because it’s so beautiful.

I love the way she incorporated a gravestone in the background, as well as the celestial sky, as that is also a callback to the angels that show up when you least expect it. All in all, I couldn’t be happier!

I’ll be posting more soon, including the new Donovan Circus covers. In the meantime, I’ll leave you with this lovely logo she also made for me. Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll talk to you soon!
